Last month, CLEAR Community welcomed two new team members.
Dimas and Asri, our new Junior Community Mobilisers, introduce themselves:
Hello! My name is Dimas Hatta I’m the newest member of the CLEAR Community team as Junior Community Mobiliser. I joined CLEAR because I believe one way to slow down climate change and solve other environmental issues is by collaborating and engaging with communities to tackle the local problems.
My role is to support the CLEAR team in coordinating and motivating local groups to set up waste management systems, including developing initial ideas with local stakeholders in the villages where the programs will operate.
I hope that during my time with CLEAR I will be able to apply the knowledge I developed at university to benefit the communities and deepen my understanding of waste management and circular economy, especially Waste Bank management.
I’m Asri, animal scientist and sustainability and community development enthusiast. I’m very passionate about working to mobilise and empower communities.
Since moving, 2 months ago, I have noticed that plastic usage and waste are big problems in Pangandaran. I’d like to contribute to CLEAR by helping to build waste banks, so that the waste problem can be solved and at least we can save our earth from where we stomp our feet.
I hope to contribute new ideas to CLEAR; support the team here in Java; help in waste management, spread information and invite people to manage waste more efficiently and participate in improving community prosperity. I’m also keen to try to influence the local community, especially teenagers, on reducing excessive plastic usage and good plastic waste management.
Be sure to look out for blogs by Dimas and Asri about their work with the local community and the CLEAR team in Java.
